Take down

A take down is when one wrestler brings his opponent down to the mat and holds him in control by getting on the offensive, top position.

Korean front headlock

Rather than arch back or roll to the side, he instead pounds his shoulder into Nutter’s lower back. He then pulls up on the front headlock, steps to his feet, and yanks his opponent head over heels.

Gut Wrench

Gut wrench is a basic Greco Roman technique executed in the par terre position where you lock up your opponent and do a side roll.

Touche

A word indicating that a wrestler has been defeated by the touche. The referee showes it by hitting with his hand on the mat and make signal to mark the end of the match

Out

A grip performed outside the mat.

Up

The fight continues in a standing position.

Centre

The wrestlers return to the middle of the mat and there they continue to fight.

Continue

The referee uses this sign when asking for the fight to continue if the wrestlers stop because of a misunderstanding and look at the judges for an explanation.

Head Up

The wrestler should raise his head. Judge it orders in case of passivity and repeated attacks of wrestlers head forward.

Contact

The referee asks the wrestler to place his hands behind his back the opponent who is below him in the ground floor. Wrestlers in a standing position, they should contact the “chest o chest”.
